Horological craftsmanship and unique design
Maurice Lacroix has set itself a clear objective: both through consistent preservation of the long tradition of the Swiss watchmaking art and meeting its standards, as well as creating, with its very own, innovative complications and movement developments, contemporary design and a heightened passion for detail and perfection, extraordinary timepieces.
Those who appreciate lasting value derived from the synergy of traditional watchmaking, creative development work and the latest technology, as well as aficionados seeking the extraordinary know not to entrust valuable, irrecoverable time to just any timepiece but rather to a timepiece from Maurice Lacroix.
Even if Maurice Lacroix is a comparatively young watch brand, it can already look back on a remarkable series of innovative developments. Since the beginning of the of the 1990s the brand has been concentrating on the development of attractive, surprising additional functions for mechanical watch models.
Today, Maurice Lacroix has demonstrated its outstanding expertise primarily in the area of retrograde displays as well as chronographs and moon phase indications. This is instantiated not least by the ML 106 manufacture movement, an exclusive chronograph calibre, but above all by the Memoire 1: With memory function, which found its initial application in this strictly limited chronograph, Maurice Lacroix has, in the year 2008, officially presented an entirely new Grande Complication. Since the end of October 2006, Maurice Lacroix has been producing also complex movement components for mechanical calibres in its own workshops near Saignelégier. By that, the brand has taken its place in the exclusive club of Swiss Manufacture brands.
In 2016, Maurice Lacroix has updated the iconic Calypso watch, aptly named the AIKON; a timepiece with a new, contemporary design, honed to modern tastes. Each element of the AIKON's specification exudes luxury with fine quality finishing and a high precision quartz movement.
This collection spearheads the brand, and, its interpretation is a wonderful illustration of complications, especially retrograde displays, that Maurice Lacroix has been specializing in for many years.
The Pontos collection brilliantly combines Swiss watchmaking traditions and technical mastery with modern design. It gives contemporary shape to the passage of time, furnishing the mechanical precision it deserves.
The very symbol of authenticity, such craft takes the idea of harmony and turns it into a true discipline, a discipline embraced wholeheartedly by the 2011 collection, in the pure and timeless spirit of horology.
The new Maurice Lacroix Eliros collection therefore unveils a much more modern aesthetic. What remains completely unchanged is the quality… and its very attractive price positioning. Last but not least, the stylish “M” logo applied on the bracelet: an unmistakable brand signature.
Its name represents softness and fluidity. Once again in the limelight, and delicately reinterpreted by the Maurice Lacroix designers, it sets its style with a disarming naturalness. Just like a woman who instinctively knows what she wants.
